Rummage Sale: August 29th Cancelled
RUMMAGE 2020 UPDATE
The Rummage Group met virtually again this week to further discuss our options for rummage and fundraising this year. While our August 29 sale is cancelled, we will be trying to hold an early to mid-August Furniture Pop-Up Sale outside behind the church by the shed and manse garage, under our tent.
We will enforce strict rules regarding mask-wearing and social distancing. Anyone willing to help, either in the days leading up to the sale while we pull out our wares to price, or during the sale itself, please let Tami Block know, so we can corral enough people to pull this off. The goal is two-fold: to empty out some of the already collected furniture, especially in the manse garage where it can no longer be stored, and to perhaps to make a little bit of lost rummage revenue. The actual sale date is still TBD so stay tuned!
We are also contemplating a small, curated closer-to-the-Holidays sale that may involve holiday, entertaining, and gift-giving items but the decision on that will not be made until the fall as we see how feasible it would be then. Also, our HPPC Bake Sale Chairs are exploring the idea of holding an online Bake Sale in November for church members, family, and friends who may like a Thanksgiving pie or homemade loaf of bread. Stay tuned for that as well!
Thanks for your continuing support of HPPC and HPPC Rummage during this chaotic time. And continue to stay safe.
