Membership information
We welcome and encourage visitors to our congregation. While membership is not a prerequisite for participation in church programs, Sunday School or even receiving communion, we hope that all visitors will eventually wish to join Highland Park Presbyterian Church. To become a member we ask that you either attend a membership class or meet with the Pastor and our Coordinator of Congregational Care and Growth, at a time convenient for you. This way we can address questions you may have about the denomination, and participation in the church. New members are officially welcomed during the worship service several times a year.
The questions asked of all new members when they join our church are:
1. Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior?
2. Will you be Christ's faithful disciple, obeying His word and showing His love?
3. Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, share in its worship and ministry through your prayers and gifts, your study and service, and so fulfill your calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ?
If you can answer yes to these questions and you feel at home in our congregation, please consider becoming a member. You can contact the church office to set up a time to discuss membership.
